For the second straight month we have seen the detached housing market lead the way in Squamish. Detached sales to new listings were around 35% The sale of townhouses are not stellar, but are holdinng their own while the condo market continues to be a poor performer with a sales to new listings percentage of only about 20%. Only 5 condos changed hands in Squamish in the month of July which is up from the previous month of 4 condos sold. This again is putting downward presure on the prices of the condo market as it continues to be over supplied by new listings. The fall should bring some more sales into the picture, but just how many remains to be seen. If you need to move your Squamish condo get it priced to sell or risk waiting untill next year to get the job done.
