Squamish Real Estate January 2010 Market Update
The holiday season was unusualy active. Typicaly we see the listings and demand for real estate fall off durring the month of December due to the focus on the holiday Season. This year however, we saw the listings drop off, but not the demand for real estate by Buyer's. December 2009 had almost as many sales as November while new listings were cut in half. A continued demand for real estate will continue in to 2010 for Squamish as affordability remains excellent and interest rate stay low. Most importantly Buyer's economic outlook for 2010 is more positive and will make for a stronger year of real estate sales. We could even start to see prices edge upward towards the end of 2010 in Squamish.
